Last week on the October 12, the Final conference of MINCE project was held in Graz, as well as the last project partners meeting the day before.

Mali dom - Zagreb participates as a partner on the project MINCE - Model for Inclusive Community Education, funded by Erasmus + program of the EU, along with 6 other countries.
Lebenshilfen Graz as the Project Coordinator organized the Final Conference. The duration of project was two years, since November 2015 till October this year.

The question that guided our work in the project was how can people with severe intellectual disabilities be better integrated into society. To support the process of inclusion, we have developed the model of inclusive community education.

At the conference presentations on inclusion of people with severe intellectual disabilities, inclusive communities, and all project results and materials were presented:

  • MINCE Curriculum for Peer Mediators
  • MINCE STEP UP Guide for Peer Mediators
  • MINCE Curriculum for Disability Care Workers
  • MINCE Guidelines for Disability Care Organisations
  • MINCE Movie
  • MINCE Compendium

With Karin Kicker-Frisinghelli and Johanna Ilkow, as the main coordinators of the project, results were also presented by clients of Lebenshilfen which are members of the research group on Human Rights and other guests.
