Training seminar in Armenia

Another in the annual series of training in Armenia was held by employees of Mali dom-Zagreb, organized by Perkins International.
From 15th to 19th April, three employees of Mali dom-Zagreb carried out professional training aimed at employees of four different orphanages for children with disabilities in the area of Gyumri and Yerevan in Armenia.
Education was held in Gyumri Orphanage Home, and it was attended by employees of other orphanages, Kharberd Orphanage in Yerevan, Mari Izmirlyan Orphanage in Yerevan, Nork Orphanage in Yerevan.
33 participants attended the training with topics of occupational therapy, sensory integration, activities of daily living, creating a learning environment, a holistic and transdisciplinary approach and creating individual education plan.
By observing practical work with children, participants had the opportunity to monitor the implementation of the presented models in the daily work with clients.
Also two workshops were held to raise awareness of correct approach to users with multiple disabilities (Simulation workshops) and creating a learning environment (Production of materials intended for active learning).
