Branch for Services for Adults

The Community Service Center Mali dom provides educational and habilitation programs for children, young people, and adults with extensive multiple disabilities, including sensory impairments (visual impairment and/or deafblindness) combined with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Services for adults with disabilities are provided within the social service of half-day and full-day care at the Branch for Services for Adults in Badalićeva 23A.

The care service is accessed based on an application and a referral from the competent office of the Croatian Institute for Social Work, a completed professional assessment, the findings and opinion of the assessment body, and a decision of the Admission and Discharge Commission.

Daily program activities are carried out in groups of 6 to 8 users, formed according to the needs and interests of the users. Within the care service, group activities and specific educational and rehabilitative procedures are implemented.

Areas of activity integrated into the half-day and full-day care program include: educational activities, activities of daily living, household activities, work-related activities, leisure and free-time activities, and sociocultural activities.

At the beginning of the educational and rehabilitation period, the expert team, in cooperation with the user and their parent/guardian, develops an Individual Support Plan, taking into account the needs of the user and family. The Individual Support Plan defines long-term and short-term goals, which are evaluated throughout the year in cooperation with parents/guardians and adjusted if necessary.
