In the Multisensory park on Lake Jarun we held the Grand unveiling of the Rhino sculpture on Tuesday afternoon.

The sculpture was made by children and young adults with multiple disabilities from Mali dom- Zagreb, under supervision of art therapist Margareta Vidmar.

This socially engaged art project started in 2011. in Mali dom-Zagreb's workshop, after which the sculpture was placed in a different places around the city ( kindergartens, schools, museums, hospitals, retirement homes  etc. .. ) while conducting creative workshops and storytelling.

For each visit the rhino was presented in a different color that had symbolic meaning.
This project seeks to change the conservative attitude of the society towards people with disabilities by promoting the social model.

Academic sculptor Krešimir Katušić designed the sculpture in polyester and it is now permanently placed in Multi-sensory park.

The sculpture was officially unveiled by the Mayor of Zagreb, mr. Milan Bandić,  before which Margareta Vidmar spoke briefly about the project and actors Milan Pleština and Daria Lorenci read The Story of the Rhino.
