On the occasion of marking the fifth anniversary of the work of the “Telefončić” Counseling Office, Mali dom-Zagreb organized a Round Table on Early Parental Support - Supporting the Early Parenthood, Supporting Parents of Children with Disabilities and Supporting the Parenthood of People with Disabilities.
“Telefončić” is a telephone counseling service for early childhood development intended for parents and anyone who cares about the youngest children. The counseling center acts as part of the program activities of the Mali dom-Zagreb institution. By phone number 01 4850 555, the availability of professional support and information from the area of ​​early childhood development and contemporary parenting is addressed to parents, families and caregivers.
Marking the fifth birthday of “Telefončić” will continue on Saturday, May 6th 2017, with the Day of the Open Gate of the Counseling Center, at Ilica 29, from 10 am to 12 pm, where all interested visitors will be welcomed by our valuable advisers.
The purpose of this Round Table was to point out the necessity of supporting the parents of all three groups mentioned above, since these are topics that are often neglected and insufficiently present in society.
On behalf of the City of Zagreb round table was attended by the representative of the City Office for Social Welfare and People with Disabilities, Sandra Čirkinagić.
Lina Đulvat presented the successful work of “Telefončić” for the past 5 years, and Mirjana Marojević model for providing support to the parents of children with disabilities in Mali dom - Zagreb. Branka Mrzić Jagatić presented the work of Roda Association as a support to parenthood and in particular the parenthood of women with disabilities, as discussed also by Marica Mirić, representative of the Network of Women with disabilities of the Alliance of People with Disabilities. The work of UNICEF in the field of family support was presented by Lili Retek Živković.
